Death, Dying and Bereavement

This course explores the issues affecting people who are dying and the effect it has on those around them. It highlights the importance of person-centred practices and of holistic care of the individual’s emotional, social and psychological needs.

Learning Aims

The session will improve understanding of end of life care and how people can be supported to have a ‘good death’. Attendees will look at the roles of communication, care planning and symptom management in meeting people’s needs.
