Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
This course examines the impact of legislation such as The Equality Act 2010 and The Human Rights Act 1998 on the provision of care. Clients and staff alike are diverse groups of people who must be treated without discrimination and protected from harassment.
After the session employees should have an understanding of issues surrounding equality and diversity and of the importance of inclusive care practices. The course highlights both rights and responsibilities and emphasises the ways in which person-centred values support equal and inclusive care.
