Food Hygiene and Safety

All carers who are involved in the preparation or serving of food must receive appropriate instruction, information, training and supervision to maintain hygiene and safety.

Learning Aims

To understand the risk factors affecting the provision of food to clients and to recognise the importance of taking personal responsibility for working safely and maintaining hygiene.
