Health and Safety Awareness

This course addresses the specific challenges to health and safety that may be encountered in a care environment. Trainers can deliver the syllabus in a flexible manner to focus on areas of interest to the learners and their employer e.g. COSHH or equipment safety.

Learning Aims

The aim of the course is to raise awareness of accidents and ill health at work with emphasis on the carer’s role in maintaining safety. Learners will achieve an understanding of the underpinning legislation and how it affects their working practices.
